Vera Milani

She graduated in opera singing at the Conservatory of Music G. Verdi in Como, under the guidance of Adriana Maliponte, also attending the course of New Teaching of Composition with Luca Francesconi and Vittorio Zago.

Later she studied for several years with soprano Fiorella Prandini.

In 2010 she won the scholarship Fiammetta Semenza.

In 2011 she graduated in Baroque singing with Roberto Balconi at the Municipal School of Music in Milan.

She attended master classes with Evelyn Tubb (The English vocal music of the '600 - '700 ), Patrizia Vaccari, Dr. Franco Fussi (La voce artistica) and so deepened her knowledge of the seventeenth-century repertoire with Mara Galassi and Diego Fratelli.

She attended refresher courses for introductory music teaching learning the Io cresco con la Musica method attending the first and second level of the course and also attended the musica, movimento e danza popolare course for which she was awarded the certificates at the academy of music G. Martial in Seveso.

Since 1999 she has been teaching choral vocal training courses both for adults and children.

Since 2003 she has been teaching modern and lyrical singing at the Eugenio NobiliSchool of Musicat San Zeno (Olgiate Molgora).

She has collaborated with various directors and ensembles performing Renaissance and Baroque repertoire including R. Balconi, F. Fanna, A. Frige, P. Gelmini, L. Ghielmi (La Divina Armonia), Ruben Jais (la Verdi Barocca) and Gianluca Capuano (Il canto di Orfeo), Marco Mencoboni (Cantar Lontano).

She has sung as a soloist in many festivals of baroque music including Festival dell'Aurora (Crotone), festival Cantar Lontano (Marche), International Festival of Aosta, in 2010 and in 2011, the Festival Le arpe in villa (Chiari), Milano Classica, Stresa Festival, MITO, Festival Oudemuziek Utrecht, broadcast live from RadioTre suite and AVRO radio - 4, Oster Festival (Tirol) during the concert season of the Salzburger Bachgesellschaft in 2012 and 2013, festival at the Concertgebounw Brugge (Belgium).

In the inaugural concert of the Internationaler Gottfried- Silbermann - Festival (Germany) she took part as a soloist, accompanied by La Divina Armonia, which was broadcast live on MDR.

In 2013 she sang in Japan at Harmony Hall (Fukui), Munetsugu Hall (Nagoja), Tsuda Hall and Oji Hall (Tokyo), the latter broadcast by NHK - TV.

She participated in the project musico - theatrical Andromeda y Perseo (music by J.B. Lully) for the Festival Internacional de Teatro Almagro (Spain).

She performed Filia in G. Carissimi's oratory Jepthe, Belinda in H. Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Dalinda in Handel's Ariodante, Tirsi  in G.F. Handel's Cantata Cor fedele invano speri.

 

Workshop for children aged 5 to 11:  Discovering your own Voice (from August 22nd to 25th)

Introductory music course for children focused on the use of the voice as a musical instrument. The children participating will be divided into 2 groups: for 5 to 7 year olds classes will last 45'; for 8 to 11 year olds classes will last 60'.

 

Course for voice use for adults – Introduction to early music (from August 24th to 31th)

This is an introductory course for adults who want to get to know early music practice. Those interested in the course should indicate on the registration form the type of training and experiences they've had and prepare a short audition free program.

Individual lessons will be alternated to group lessons.

Part of the work of the course will be devoted to the preparation of songs in collaboration with the laboratory of music ensembles for early music. In the course not more than 10 students will be allowed but there will be no limit for auditors.
