Francesco Parodi, classe 1999, si avvicina molto giovane alla musica per merito dei genitori, e inizia lo studio della batteria all’età di sette anni sotto la guida di Nicola Stranieri.
Presto intraprende la strada e lo studio del Jazz, che lo porterà a esibirsi in diversi festival, talvolta a fianco di grandi interpreti del panorama italiano, quali Emilio Soana, Marco Micheli, Alberto Marsico, Claudio Allifranchini, Sandro Gibellini.
Riceve una borsa di studio durante la prima edizione del “Mortara Jazz festival”, insieme ad altre giovani promesse del Jazz, mentre quattro anni dopo partecipa ai seminari estivi di “Nuoro Jazz”, dove viene scelto per una seconda importante borsa di studio, grazie alla quale ha la possibilità di formare un sestetto ed esibirsi a “Time in Jazz”, diretto da Paolo Fresu, e alla successiva edizione del festival jazz di Nuoro. Con lo stesso gruppo incide inoltre un disco.
Alla batteria affianca lo studio delle percussioni classiche, frequentando il conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” di Torino con il maestro Riccardo Balbinutti. Durante gli studi approfondisce il repertorio orchestrale e quello solistico delle percussioni, e ha inoltre modo di collaborare con diverse orchestre e prendere parte a due produzioni del Teatro Regio di Torino. Attualmente prosegue gli studi di batteria con Stefano Bagnoli.
Francesco Parodi, born in 1999, thanks to his parents at a young age he was introduced to the musical world and he began the study of the drums at the age of 7, with Nicola Stranieri as his teacher.
He soon undertakes a path leading to the study of Jazz, which will lead him to performing in various festivals, sometimes alongside important Italian musicians, such as Emilio Soana, Marco Micheli, Alberto Marsico, Claudio Allifranchini, and Sandro Gibellini.
He was awarded a scholarship during the first edition of the “Mortara Jazz festival”, together with other promising young Jazz musicians, and 4 years later after participating in the summer seminar “Nuoro Jazz”, he was awarded a second important scholarship, thanks to which he was able to form a sextet and perform at “Time in Jazz”, directed by Paolo Fresu, and at the following edition of the Nuoro Jazz Festival. With the same group he also did some recording.
He accompanied the study of the drums to the study of classical percussion, in a course at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Music in Turin, with the Maestro Riccardo Balbinutti. During his studies he widened his orchestral repertoire and his solo percussion repertoire, and he also had the opportunity to collaborate with various orchestras and to take part in two theatrical productions in the Teatro Regio in Turin. At present he is continuing his studies of the drums with Stefano Bagnoli.
